Preston

Preston Foyer is a supported accommodation service, for 16-24 year olds, in the heart of Preston. The service is for young people who are experiencing homelessness and are either in the care system or are care leavers.
Young people are allocated an Independent Life Skills Coach, who will work with them to create a personalised support plan, as they move towards independence. Preston Foyer takes a trauma informed, person-centred approach to support and our staff are trained in Advantage Thinking. We are committed to an ethos of co-production, meaning our residents are encouraged to be involved in shaping the policies and procedures of the service.
A modern build, Preston Foyer has 16, fully furnished, self-contained flats. Communal laundry facilities accessible 24/7.
Preston Foyer is a 15-minute walk from Preston train station and 7-minute walk from Preston bus station, with regular transport to the rest of Lancashire and beyond. It is a 5-minute walk from the city centre and a 30-minute walk from the nearest big supermarket.
Preston College and Runshaw College (Leyland) are both short bus rides away. The Salvation Army Church, which runs the Employment Plus programme and a weekly ‘Warm & Toasty’ drop-in is within 10-minute walking distance.
Each flat has its own pre-paid meters for gas and electric; young people are responsible for paying their own utility bills.
Preston Foyer is registered with Ofsted under the Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, as a provider of supported accommodation for 16 and 17 year old looked after children.
