Salvation Army Homes is delighted to announce that it has signed up to the HouseProud Pledge. By signing up to the pledge Salvation Army Homes is showing residents that we are committed to building communities where people can thrive and know they are valued and respected as they are.
The HouseProud pledge scheme was developed in response to the publication of the ‘No place like home’ study undertaken by the University of Surrey, to understand the experiences, concerns and preferences of LGBTQ+ social housing residents. Lynne Shea Salvation Army Homes Chief Executive said:
“We are thrilled to be part of this scheme that shows our commitment to residents so that they can feel welcome and safe in their homes, but that we will continue to develop how everyone can have a greater say in how Salvation Army Homes develops its services”.
