Salvation Army Homes to Deliver New Support Service at Bruce House
Salvation Army Homes is pleased to announce a new partnership with Peabody and Westminster City Council to deliver the support service at Bruce House, a key housing project providing a safe and stable home for 49 young people.
This new service builds on Salvation Army Homes’ longstanding experience of delivering high-quality, person-centred support to young people across the UK. It will place resident voice and participation at its heart. Young people living at Bruce House will be encouraged to shape the support they receive through coproduction activities, contribute to service design decisions, and engage in inclusive forums where they can share feedback and new ideas.
The service will also focus on improving wellbeing, supporting education and employment pathways, and helping young people develop the skills and confidence needed to move on to independent living. Residents will have opportunities to participate in projects and events across the organisation -including contributing to this year’s Brighton Pride float.
Gill Cook, Head of Housing at Salvation Army Homes, said:
“We’re really excited to be delivering the support service at Bruce House and to create a space where young people aren’t just receiving support but are empowered to shape the future of their own community. When we listen to young people, collaborate with them, and design services together, real transformation begins to happen. I’m proud that Salvation Army Homes has the opportunity to build a space at Bruce House where every voice can lead to meaningful change”.
